Below is a very recent video from our lefthand Nest Cam

Nestbuilding began on 23rd April and the first egg was laid on 24th April (must've been in a bit of a hurry!)
A total of 5 eggs were laid, which is below average and combined with the rapid nest building might indicate a lost nest somewhere else ?

12th May - all five hatched

Nestbuilding began on 4th April and the first egg laid on 15th April
A total of 9 eggs were laid, which is about average

First hatching - 4th May - six hatched to date

Disaster! 8th May - Woodpecker smashed in the front of the box and took five of the nestlings - three left but looking okay

Fledging - 24th May - all three chicks left the nest box
